Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using FlightMate you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FlightMate after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
Description of Service
FlightMate is a golf matchmaking platform that connects golfers based on handicap, playing style, location, and preferences. The service includes:
• A profile system to showcase your golf identity
• A discovery feed to browse and swipe on other golfers
• A matching system based on mutual right swipes
• In-app messaging between matched users
• Tee time booking integration via third-party providers
FlightMate is currently in early access. Features may change, be added, or removed at any time.
User Accounts and Responsibilities
To use FlightMate you must:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately at hello@flightmate.golf if you suspect unauthorized access
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. FlightMate is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• Create fake profiles — all profile information must represent you accurately. Impersonating another person or golfer is prohibited.
• Harass or abuse — any form of harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive behavior toward other members is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
• Spam — sending unsolicited messages, promotions, or repeated unwanted contact to other users is not allowed.
• Misuse the platform — using FlightMate for any purpose other than golf matchmaking, including commercial solicitation or data scraping.
• Circumvent security — attempting to bypass, hack, or exploit any part of the FlightMate platform.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
Tee Time Bookings
FlightMate integrates with TeeOff and other third-party tee time providers to allow matched golfers to book rounds together.
• Tee time bookings are processed directly through the third-party provider and are subject to their terms and cancellation policies.
• FlightMate does not take responsibility for booking errors, cancellations, or disputes arising from third-party providers.
• Any affiliate relationship between FlightMate and tee time providers does not affect the price you pay.
• Always confirm your booking directly with the golf course.
Intellectual Property
The FlightMate name, logo, app design, and all original content created by FlightMate are owned by FlightMate and protected by intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any content you upload (photos, bio text, etc.) but grant FlightMate a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content to operate the service.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the FlightMate platform without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
FlightMate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• We do not guarantee that you will find a playing partner, that matches will be compatible, or that tee times will be available.
• We are not responsible for the conduct of other users on or off the platform.
• FlightMate's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from the app settings. Upon termination your profile will be removed and your data will be deleted within 30 days.
We may terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior harmful to other users or the platform. We will attempt to notify you unless doing so is prohibited or impractical.
Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.
